(1987) - A four-time NCAA National Championships qualifier, Bob Scott was a 1979 co-winner of the Hugh McCurdy Award as the diver who earned his team the most points in four years at the New England Intercollegiate Swimming Association (NEISA) Championships and the only diver in school history to ever receive a score of 10.0 in competition. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in his fourth year of eligibility.

During his four years of competition at the NEISA championships, he improved his placing in the three-meter diving event. As a freshman, he placed 11th followed by a ninth place finish as a sophomore. His junior year he was seventh in both he one and three-meter competitions. And as a senior he was sixth in three meter diving while placing 14th in the one meter contest.

Bob qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships (1976) as a freshman and the NCAA Division II Championships the next three years. In addition, he was very successful in the NEA-AAU championships winning the three meter spring board and five meter tower events when he was a sophomore.

Over Bob's last three seasons, he consistently placed first or second in one and three-meter diving events in dual meets which made him one of the team's top point scorers. He was co-captain of the team as a junior and senior and is the still school record holder for three-meter required dives (185 points).
