(1980) - A true all-around athlete, Michael George (Mike) Kokoska earned varsity letters in football, basketball, and baseball as an undergraduate at Lowell Textile Institute. A fine offensive performer in football, an outstanding scorer in the days of low-scoring basketball games, and a sharp field shortstop in baseball, led to this "Pickout" quote: "His participation in football, baseball, and basketball has been one that has always been the worry of his opponents and the pride and glory of his friends."

Kokoska earned four straight varsity letters in both baseball and basketball. His teammates elected him captain o f the basketball team while also holding positions as class treasurer, class secretary, and executive council representative for the student body. He scored the winning basket in a big game against MIT while leading the hoopsters to a fine 14-3 record for the 1930 season. He was the star of two important baseball wins against Trinity and Villanova in a 7-5 1932 season.
