UMass Lowell Athletics

A three-time All-American and NE10 Hall of Fame member, Veiga was one of the most accomplished athletes to compete for the UMass Lowell men's cross country and track and field teams from 2009-13.  With five first-place finishes and 20 top-five finishes, Veiga consistently ranked amongst the best, most notably when he posted a 10K time of 28:53.7 in the 2012 NCAA DII East Region Cross County Championship to win the event. Also excellent in the classroom, Veiga was also named the 2010 USTFCCCA NCAA DII Men's Scholar Athlete of the Year and to the 2011 Men's Outdoor T&F NE-10 Academic All-Conference Team. He was inducted into the NE10 Hall of Fame in 2024.
