(1993) - The only Division I hockey All-American since the program was elevated from Division II in 1983, Jon Morris of Chelmsford, MA was one of the most gifted players to ever pull on a sweater for coach Bill Riley. He is the eleventh hockey player elected to the Athletic Hall of Fame, and was elected in his first year of eligibility.

A second team All-American in 1986-87 after leading the Chiefs to a 22-12-2 overall record and a second place finish in Hockey East, Jon is the Hockey East Association's all-time leading scorer with 177 regular season points. He helped the Chiefs to a 20-17-2 record and a berth in the NCAA Division I tournament in 1987-88.

The only player to lead the hockey team in scoring four consecutive years, Morris was the 1985 recipient of the New England Hockey Writers' George C. Carens Award as the region's Rookie of the Year and was named to the Hockey East All-Rookie team. He was named to the NEHWA and Hockey East All-star first teams in 1987 as a junior.

For his career, Jon ranked first in games played (153), second in points scored (231), tied for second in goals scored (97), second in assists (134), first in powerplay goals (37), and tied for second in game winning goals (12). He was one of only two players (Mike Carr, 1979-83, was the other) in school history to score 50 or more points in all four seasons.
