Biography

AS A SOPHOMORE (2020-21): Skated in 19 games for the River Hawks…Ranked third on the team in points with 13 (8G, 5A)…Led the team in goals with eight, including two power play goals and a team-high three game-winning goals…Recorded a season-high three points (1G, 2A) against Maine (1/4)…Knocked in a season-high two goals against Vermont (3/10)…Named the Army ROTC Co-Player of the Week after amassing three goals across two games to open the 2021 Hockey East Tournament (3/15).

AS A FRESHMAN (2019-20): Brown led the team in scoring in his rookie year with 24 points (6g,18a) in 33 contests and he led the team with 89 shots on goal. His 24 points ranked sixth among league rookies. He registered 14 points (4g,10a) in 23 league games, which ranked tied for ninth among Hockey East first-year players. Brown recorded points in 17 games for the River Hawks this season, which included six multi-point efforts. He amassed a career-high three points (1g,2a) against Colgate on October 18th at the Tsongas Center. Recorded 17 points in his first 15 career games with UMass Lowell. The River Hawks owned a 12-2-3 record when Brown scored a point. Brown was honored as Hockey East Rookie of the Month in October, posting nine points (3g, 6a) with a plus-three rating and 30 shots on goal in a 4-2-2 month for the River Hawks. Was named to the Hockey East All-Academic Team. 

Previous Team: Brown played last season for the Des Moines Buccaneers in the United States Hockey League (USHL) for head coach Gene Reilly. He recorded 57 points (30g,27a) in 57 games with the Buccaneers in 2018-19. He also played 41 games for the Odessa Jackalopes in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) in 2017-18, as he posted 41 points (16g,25a) in 41 contests for Odessa.  

Personal: Son of Debbie and Ricky Brown... Has a younger brother Andrew... Nickname is Brownie... In his time away from the rink he likes cooking... His favorite TV show is All-American... His favorite professional sports team is the New Jersey Devils... His favorite sports figures and influence is Martin St. Louis. His greatest sports moment was winning the World Junior A Championship.
