SCOUTING THE RIVER HAWKS: UMass Lowell enters Tuesday night's match up against Bryant with a 2-13 overall mark, which includes a 2-3 record in its last five matches. The River Hawks fell at Sacred Heart, 3-0, on Saturday night in their only match last week.  Freshman outside hitter Haley Shimon (Des Moines, Iowa) leads the team with 108 kills and 2.12 kills per set. In 2014, UMass Lowell won 22 of a possible 112 sets (19.6%) and this season the River Hawks have already won 13 of a possible 54 sets (24.1%). The River Hawks rank second as team in America East with 1.83 blocks per set. The River Hawks will open their America East schedule on Friday night with "Dig Pink Night" at Costello Athletic Center vs. UMBC (7 p.m.).

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS:
Bryant -
The Bulldogs enter Tuesday's match with a 10-8 overall record and own a 2-8 record away from home this season (8-0 at home). Bryant has won three straight matches against Dartmouth, St. Francis Brooklyn and LIU Brooklyn coming into the match up with the River Hawks. The Bulldogs defeated UMass Lowell in the most recent meeting on August 29, 2014 by a 3-1 score at Smithfield, R.I.

UMBC - The Retriever's enter this week with a 6-9 (0-1 AE) record so far, after dropping two straight decisions to La Salle on Sept. 22, 3-2, and America East opener against Stony Brook, 3-0, on Sept. 25. Outside hitter Makenzie Morgen leads the squad with 153 kills, with a second best 2.94 kills per set, for a fifth best in the conference. Defensive specialist Carola De jesus has posted a team high 179 digs and 3.38 digs per set, while Marissa Duncan is first with 49 blocks.

Stony Brook - The Seawolves post a 5-12 (1-0 AE) record after winning their conference opener against UMBC on Friday, Sept. 25. Stony Brook is currently riding a two game win streak coming into Sunday's contest against the River Hawks. Kathy Fletcher leads her team in kills (205) and kills per set (3.25).  Defensively, Lo Hathaway is first on the team with 165 digs as McKyla Brooks logs a team-high 40 blocks. The Seawolves currently lead the conference with 722 assists, 771 kills and 110 services aces. The River Hawks lone America East conference win came against Stony Brook on November 14th last season at Costello Athletic Center.

AMERICA EAST LEADERS: Junior mibble blocker Lauren Bennett ranks first in America East with a .315 hitting percentage and her 1.02 blocks per set is tied for first among conference players. Freshman libero Lindsey Vivardis (Homer Glen, Ill.) ranks fourth among conference players with 3.69 digs per set. Junior outside hitter Megan Young (Westlake Village, Calif.) is tied for sixth with 0.28 service aces per set.
