Biography
AS A SENIOR (2016): Bennett played and started 27 matches for the River Hawks, appearing in 100 total sets. Bennett led the team with a career best 109 total blocks (16s,93a) and a .224 hitting percentage. She also ranked fourth on the team with 129 kills. Bennett's 109 blocks was the ninth 100-block season in team history. She won the Most Improved Player Award at the end of the season UMass Lowell Athletics banquet. Her 1.09 blocks per set ranked second in America East and her 1.32 blocks per set and 62 total blocks in conference play led America East players. Totaled a season-high 13 kills on October 22nd at Hartford and a career-high 10 total blocks (2s,8a) on October 2nd at Binghamton. Registered three or more blocks in 18 of 27 games for the River Hawks. Bennett was named to the BC Invitational All-Tournament Team.
AS A JUNIOR (2015): Bennett played in 108 sets and was one of three River Hawks to play in all 31 matches. She posted 134 kills and led the team with 93 total blocks (11s,82a) and a .270 hitting percentage. Posted a career-high 18 kills on September 12th vs. Quinnipiac and a season-high seven total blocks twice (Sept. 4th and Oct. 16). Recorded 5+ kills 12 times. Her .270 hitting percentage was fifth best among America East players and her 0.86 blocks per set was fourth best in the conference. Was named to the America East All-Academic Team. Bennett was named to the Maroon and Gray Invitational All-Tournament Team for her efforts at the UMES Tournament. She recorded 22 kills with a .405 hitting percentage to go along with 17 total blocks (4s,13a) in four matches. She was also named to the UMass Lowell All-Tournament Team.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2014): Started 21 of 30 matches that she played in (88 sets) and recorded 91 kills, which ranked fifth on the River Hawks' roster and a .170 hitting percentage. Her 64 total blocks (15s,49a) lead the team and her 0.73 blocks/set was the eighth best total among America East players. Posted a career-high nine kills twice (Sept. 19th vs. South Dakota State and Nov. 22nd vs. Incarnate Word). Amassed a career-high seven blocks (3s,4a) on Sept. 20th at Chicago State. Had five or more blocks six times this season and three or more blocks on 10 occasions.
AS A FRESHMAN (2013): Appeared in 12 matches with five starts (33 games played). She totaled 11 kills and five blocks. Bennett had a career-high four kills vs. St. John's on Sept. 21st.

PERSONAL: Bennett is one of two children of Kathleen and Michael Bennett • Names the Boston Bruins as her favorite sports team • Her favorite TV show is The Office • Her favorite sports memory is getting 18 kills vs. Quinnipiac in 2015 • Chose to attend UMass Lowell because of the schools value and academic reputation. Majoring is Exercise Physiology.
