UMass Lowell men’s basketball senior forward Tyler Livingston (Hudson, N.H.) has been tabbed River Hawk of the Week for the first time in his career for his performance from November 21-27.
Livingston led the River Hawks in a three-game week, averaging 17.0 points per game, and shooting 59.4 percent (19-32) from the floor with a 50.0 percent clip (10-20) from three-point territory.
The forward started the week with 13 points, as one of five double-digit scorers in a closely-contested battle against Liberty on Nov. 21. He also notched 11 points to help the River Hawks earn a 76-71 victory against Mississippi Valley State the following night on Nov. 22. He then had a career outing at home against LIU Brooklyn on Nov. 26 when he drained a personal-best 10 field goals, including seven three-pointers, in 39 minutes on the court.
So far this season, Livingston is second on the team with 13.7 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. He paces the River Hawks with 20 long range makes through seven games and a team-high 44.4 percent (20-45) clip from beyond the arc. He has scored in double digits in all but one of the team’s games this year.
The "River Hawk of the Week" is chosen each week in voting by the UMass Lowell Athletic Communications staff. It honors the top athlete, male or female, based on performance during the previous week of competition.
