After a 2-0 week against teams with Top-20 RPI, Wuilito Fernandes (Praia, Cape Verde) and Ivan Abramovic (Zagreb, Croatia) swept the America East weekly awards, as announced by the conference on Monday morning. Fernandes also picked up River Hawk of the Week honors.

Fernandes tallied six points over the two games and was named the America East Player of the Week for the second time in his career. After scoring two goals against Boston College, Abramovic took home Rookie of the Week honors for the fifth time this season.

The senior had a hand in all the UMass Lowell goals scored during the week, registering two goals and two assists. The Praia, Cape Verde native began the comeback at Boston College with a tally in the 73rd minute, and assisted on both the game-tying and game-winning goals.

In the battle for first place against UAlbany, Fernandes provided the heroics with the game-winning goal in the 23rd minute after receiving a pass in the box, juggling around a defender and sliding the shot into the right corner.

In the win at BC, Abramovic knotted the contest in the 82nd minute and completed the comeback with the game-deciding tally in the 100th minute, off a sideways volley following a Fernandes header.

For the second time season, Fernandes was also named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week.
