UMass Lowell senior guard
Sabrina Larsson (Uppsala, Sweden) was named River Hawk of the Week following a career performance in the River Hawks' 60-43 road win at New Haven on Dec. 6.
Larsson delivered the best game of her collegiate career, pouring in a career-high 22 points while shooting 6-for-12 from the field, including a career-best six three-pointers. She was perfect at the line, going 4-for-4, and logged 36 minutes as UMass Lowell controlled the game from the perimeter. All of her season and career-high marks in points and three-point makes were set during the performance.
The performance marked the first 20-point game of Larsson's career as she connected at a 60 percent clip from beyond the arc (6-for-10). Her six made three-pointers were the most by a River Hawk in a single game this season, surpassing the previous high of five.
Through nine games this season, Larsson is averaging 9.2 points per game while shooting 43.8 percent from the field and an impressive 42.2 percent from three-point range, ranking among the team's most consistent perimeter threats. She has started all nine contests for UMass Lowell and is logging 31.7 minutes per game.
UMass Lowell returns to action on Thursday, Dec. 11, when they travel to DePaul for a 6 p.m. CT matchup in Chicago.
