Biography
HERENDA ON HONORE: "Heman is very talented. He has been given another chance here at UMass Lowell and he is making the best of it on and off the court. For a bigman, `H' posseses a great shooting touch from anywhere on the court and has an uncanny knack for blocking shots. I am hoping that he can have fitting end to his career. He deserves it."
AS A SENIOR: Saw action in 19 games of the bench • Averaged 1.2 PPG and 0.8 RPG • Had a season high seven points twice, including in the opening round of the NCAA tournament on March 10 against Bloomfield.
AS A JUNIOR: Played in 25 games off the bench for the River Hawks • Averaged 3.7 PPG and 2.2. RPG • Had a season best of 22 points at Southern New Hampshire on Nov. 23.
MERRIMACK COLLEGE: Did not play basketball for the Warriors.
NEWBURY COLLEGE: Played one year of basketball at Newbury College (2006-07) where he averaged 13.5 PPG and 5.4 RPG in 27 appearances • Averaged 2.7 blocks per contest, as well • Personal-bests included 20-point performances against MIT (Jan. 27, 2007)and Lincoln (Feb. 23); 10 boards against Lyndon State (Dec. 3) and New England College (Jan. 20); seven blocks against Gordon (Jan. 25).
ST. CLEMENT HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from St. Clement High School in 2006, where he played four years of varsity basketball • 2,000 point scorer at SCHS • 2006 Boston Globe All-Scholastic honoree • Two-year captain of the squad • All-time leading scorer in school history and 2006 Conference MVP as a senior.
PERSONAL:One of five sons of Dominique and Marie Honore of Medford, Mass. • Majoring in liberal arts.
