Biography

2016-17 Season: Winkler has played in six games this season, he last skated on Feb. 10th vs. BU. 

Previous Team: Winkler played 2015-16 and 2014-15 for the Youngstown Phantoms (USHL) ... He posted 37 points (11g,10a) in 49 contests in 15-16 and 17 points (15g,2a) in 52 games in 14-15 ... Played three-years of varsity hockey at Berwick Academy … Two-time hockey team MVP during his junior and sophomore seasons … Named captain as a junior … Played for the Portland Jr. Pirates in 2013-14 … Played three years of varsity baseball at Berwick Academy … Recipient of the Baseball All-League Award as a junior and sophomore … Future Business Leaders of America member.
 
Personal: Son of Joe and Catherine Winkler … Youngest of four siblings (Joe, John, and Renee) … Brother Joe played baseball for SUNY New Paltz … Nicknamed "Winks" … enjoys watching the New York Rangers and Seattle Mariners … Ryan Callahan and Charlie Coyle are his Favorite Sports Figures … When he is not playing hockey he likes surfing, hiking and drawing … Greatest Sports Moment includes winning the Anderson Cup with the Youngstown Phantoms in 2015 … Would like to play professional hockey or work for the FBI after college.
