LOWELL, Mass. -- UMass Lowell Hockey Head Coach
Norm Bazin announced on Wednesday the incoming class for the upcoming 2016-2017 season.
The class includes six forwards, one defenseman and two goaltenders.
Kenny Hausinger (Anchorage, Alaska), Guillaume LeClerc (Franois, France),
Ryan Lohin (Chadds Ford, Pa.),
Nick Marin (Shrewsbury, Mass.),
Colin O'Neill (Odenton, Md.) and
James Winkler (York, Maine) make up the incoming forward group.
Mattias Göransson (Slottsbron, Sweden) is the lone River Hawk incoming blueliner, along with
Garrett Metcalf (Salt Lake City, Utah) and
Tyler Wall (Leamington, Ont.) completing the goaltending position for the season.

"We are excited to welcome nine new players to our RiverHawk family for the 2016-17 season," said Bazin. "They will provide depth so we can compete with the best in Hockey East. These young men hail from four different countries and we believe many of them will compete for important minutes immediately. We look forward to the start of our season."
The River Hawks officially open their 50th Anniversary Season on Friday, October 7th against NCHC foe Minnesota-Duluth. Game time from the Tsongas Center in Lowell in 7:15 p.m.
Tickets for all River Hawks home hockey games are on sale now. UMass Lowell students receive free admission by scanning their ID as part of the "River Hawk Rewards" campaign. Tickets can be purchased at the Tsongas Center Box Office, which is open Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. during the week. Fans can also purchase tickets online at
