Biography
2018-19 Season: Lohin has played in 30 of 34 games for the River Hawks, posting a team-best 26 points (12g,14a) in his junior season with 84 shots on goal and a +9 plus/minus rating. He registered 17 points (9g,8a) in 21 league games for UMass Lowell. Has notched a point in 19 games this season with five multi-point efforts and three multi-goal efforts. Had a season-high five-game point streak from Jan. 11th to 25th with eight points (5g,3a) in that span. UMass Lowell owns a 13-3-3 record when Lohin scores a point. Posted a career-high 11 shots on goal on Nov. 25th at RPI. Lohin was named a semifinalist for the Walter Brown Award on February 4th, which is given annually to the best American born hockey player in New England.
2017-18 Season: Lohin recorded team-best 25 points (9g,16a) in his second season with the River Hawks, as he was one of four River Hawks to play in all 36 games last year. He posted of his 25 points in last league tilts. Recorded points in 16 of 36 games, which included six multi-point contests. Lohin amassed a career-high four points (2g,2a) on January 6th vs. UMass and a career-high three assists at St. Lawrence on October 21st. UMass Lowell owned a 10-6-0 record when Lohin scored a point. He notched 13 points (4g,9a) in first 11 contests of the season. Lohin, as the team's leading scorer, earned the G. Harvey Chandler Award at the annual team banquet in the spring.
2016-17 Season: Lohin has amassed 29 points (12g,17a) as the River Hawks’ leading rookie scorer, as one of six River Hawks to play in all 41 games. Was named to the NCAA Northeast Regional All-Tournament Team for his efforts in two games against Cornell and Notre Dame. His 29 points ranked fifth among HEA rookie scorers and his 12 goals ranked tied for fifth among first-year league players. Had a point in 23 games with five multi-point efforts to his credit. Scored his first career point on Oct. 14th with an assist at Colorado College and notched his first career goal on Nov. 5th vs. Vermont. Had a six-game point scoring streak from Jan. 27th to Feb. 11th with six points (4g,2a) in that span. Ended the season with seven points (3g,4a) in his last five contests, including a season-high three points (1g,2a) with a +3 rating in the Hockey East semifinals against Notre Dame on March 17th. The River Hawks owned a 17-6-0 record when Lohin scored a point. Lohin earned the River Hawks' Rookie of the Year Award at the annual team awards banquet in April.
NHL Draft: Was selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the seventh round with the 208th overall pick in the 2016 NHL Draft at the First Niagara Center in Buffalo, N.Y.
Previous Team: Lohin spent part of the 2015-16 season with the Madison Capitols of the USHL, where he recorded 16 goals, 23 assists for 39 points in 48 games, before moving to Waterloo under the direction of P.K O’Handley. With the Black Hawks, he averaged over a point a game, notching seven goals and 11 assists for 18 points in 14 games. Lohin spent the entire 2014-15 season with Madison and had 10 goals and 16 assists in his rookie season in the USHL.
