SCOUTING THE RIVER HAWKS: UMass Lowell finishes up their third season of Division I play this weekend with a 4-25 overall mark and a 1-11 record in America East matches. The River Hawks, who finished in a tied for seventh place in the league standings, are coming off a 3-0 loss to Binghamton at Costello Athletic Center on Senior Day last Sunday. Freshman outside hitter Haley Shimon (Des Moines, Iowa) totaled a team-high nine kills in the losing effort, while freshman libero Lindsey Visvardis (Homer Glen, Ill.) recorded 17 digs in the match against the Bearcats. Shimon leads the team with 237 kills on the season, while Visvardis has registered a team-best 409 digs. Junior middle blocker Lauren Bennett (Wilmington, Mass.) ranks sixth among America East players with a .275 hitting percentage and she ranks fourth in blocks per set (0.88). Visvardis' 3.97 digs per set in fourth best among America East defensive players.

SCOUTING THE LOPES: Grand Canyon enters the weekend with a 5-21 overall record and a 3-11 record in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC). The Lopes own a 4-9 record on their home court this season, which includes their most recent match a 3-0 loss to UMKC on Saturday at Antelope Gymnasium. Grand Canyon enters the weekend with a 1-4 mark in its last five matches. Natalie Tardy leads the team with 230 kills, while Jordyn Sanchez ranks second on the team with 203 kills. Michelle Steagall leads the Lopes with 485 assists and Haley Glass has amassed a team-leading 286 digs. Hannah Hicks' 67 total blocks are a team best.
