HighlightsLOWELL, Mass. -- The UMass Lowell women's volleyball team fell in straight sets to conference foe New Hampshire (9-25, 16-25, 19-25) in America East action on Friday night at Costello Athletic Center.
With the loss, the River Hawks drop to 2-25 overall and 0-10 in America East, while the Wildcats up their record to 16-11 overall and 9-1 in the conference action.
Senior outside hitter
Ella Merrill (Bermuda Dunes, Calif.) tallied a team-high nine kills in the match, while senior middle blocker
Anisa Smith (Moraga, Calif.) and freshman outside hitter
Masha Yelsukova (Santa Clara, Calif.) each amassed six kills in the loss to UNH.
Junior setter
Kylee Chun (Las Vegas, Calif.) totaled 15 assists quarterbacking the River Hawks' offense in the losing effort. Senior libero
Hannah Rey (San Diego, Calif.) led the way with a team-high 10 digs on the defensive end, while Chun and freshman defensive specialist
Malorie McIver (Austin, Texas) each posted seven digs apiece.Â
