Biography
AS A JUNIOR (2014): Chun appeared started in 32 of 33 matches and played in 110 sets in her first season with the River Hawks. Chun posted 44 kills, a team-high 813 assists and 31 service aces, 233 digs and 21 total blocks as the team's starting setter. Totaled a career-high 44 assists on two occasions (Sept. 19th vs. South Dakota State and Nov. 14th vs. Stony Brook). Amassed a career-high seven kills on Nov. 14th vs. Stony Brook, totaled a career-high three service aces three times and recorded a career-high 26 digs on Sept. 19th vs. South Dakota State. Her 7.39 assists per set ranked seventh among America East setters. She recorded 30+ assists eight times in her freshman season. Chun was named "River Hawk of the Week" on Sept. 16th for her performance at the Brown Invitational, registering 76 assists and 23 digs in three matches (10 sets) and was named the Brown Invitational All-Tournament Team for her efforts.
BEFORE UMASS LOWELL: Four year varsity player at Bishop Gorman High School and was transfer from Arizona Western College - 2008 sportsmanship award - First-Team All-Conference 2010 - 2011 Most Valuable Player - Senior year team captain.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Jaylynn Chun - Favorite professional teams include the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Dodgers - Lists Kobe Bryant and Kerri Walsh as her favorite sports figures - Chose UMass Lowell to play volleyball and found the staff very welcoming and easy to approach - Plans to become an Anesthesiologist.
