LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell women's volleyball team fell in Americas East action 3-0 (17-25, 14-25, 18-25) to Binghamton University on Sunday afternoon.

The River Hawks fall to 2-18 (0-2 AE), while the Bobcats improve to 4-15 (2-1 AE).

Anisa Smith (Moraga, Calif.) led the offense with a team-high nine kills, while recording five digs and two service aces. Senior outside hitter Ella Merrill (Bermuda Dunes, Calif.) added six kills and two digs, as well. Junior setter Kylee Chun (Las Vegas, Nevada) led the team with 20 assists and added nine digs.

Libero Hannah Rey (San Diego, Calif.) once again recorded a 20+ dig match, her ninth of the year, with a team-high 20.

UMass Lowell returns to action on Friday, October 10 with a road contest against UMBC at 5 p.m.
