Sophomore Harry Hulme (Manchester, N.H.) fired a three-over-par 74 to lead the UMass Lowell golf team to third place at the regular season-ending Assumption College Shootout Tuesday at Heritage Country Club.

UMass Lowell compiled a team score of 313, trailing only Holy Cross 'A' (301) and Saint Anselm (310). Holy Cross' 'B' team placed fourth with a 314 and was followed by Assumption (324), Franklin pierce (335) and Worcester State (343).

Hulme's score of 74 finished behind medalist Steven Zychowski of Holy Cross, who shot a 71.

Sophomore Kevin Fay (Lawrence, Mass.) placed tied for fifth with a 76 while sophomore Ian Gervais (New Limerick, Maine), seeing his first action of the spring, carded an 80 to place tied for 17^th.

Junior Takeaki Igarashi (Sacramento, Calif.) placed tied for 24^th with an 83 while sophomore Jack Ryan (Westford, Mass.) finished with an 85 to place tied for 26^th.

UMass Lowell awaits the announcement of the NCAA Tournament East Region Championship field to be announced next week. The Championship is scheduled to be played May 5-8 in Wheeling, W.V.
