Senior
Sylvain Debiais (St. Jean de Monts, France) captured medalist honors with rounds of 73 and 74 (147) as UMass Lowell placed third at the Bentley Cape Cod Classic at the Bay Pointe Club.
UMass Lowell scored a collective round of 615 for the one-day, 36-hole tournament, shooting a 304 for the first 18 holes and a 311 for the second.
American International College won the team title with rounds of 296-312—608 while the host Falcons edged the River Hawks with rounds of 301-313—614. Holy Cross placed fourth with 307-313—620 while Saint Anselm rounded out the top five with a 319-313—632.
The tournament drew 45 players representing nine teams.
A three-time medalist last spring, Debiais resumed his form Saturday and led a host of stellar results by his teammates, who were without sophomore
Harry Hulme (Manchester, England) due to injury.
