“The three Adelphi kids were really hot,” said head coach
Jim Mahoney. “We played okay. We had hoped to have a real happy ending, but Adelphi was tough. We just didn't put two days together. On a positive note, we beat nine teams in the NE-10 head-to-head as far as standings go. That's always a good thing.”
Only six strokes separated UMass Lowell's five players.
Hulme led three River Hawks named to the NE-10 All-Conference teams. Senior
Andrew Fecteau (Newbury, Mass.) and sophomore
Kevin Fay (Lawrence, Mass.) placed in a tie for 10

The field consisted of 11 teams and 54 players.
“Right now I think we're 29-6 in head-to-head competition,” Mahoney said. “That's not a bad record. I think we'll continue to be near the top and we hope to win a few more.”
UMass Lowell returns to its fall schedule next Sunday and Monday at the Dominican Classic in Suffern, N.Y.
