LOWELL, Mass. – After a record-breaking performance in Saturday's 14-13 double overtime victory, UMass Lowell men's lacrosse team's redshirt sophomore James Donnelly (Ottawa, Ontario) has been named the River Hawk of the Week for the first time this season.

Against Mercyhurst, the midfielder dominated on the offensive end, posting career-highs with five goals and three assists, setting a new DI program record with eight points in a game. Coming up clutch all day, he scored with 3:36 remaining in the game to make it a one-goal difference, before tying the game with only six seconds remaining, sending the battle to overtime and setting up the thrilling victory for the River Hawks.

The "River Hawk of the Week" is chosen in voting by the UMass Lowell Athletic Communications staff. It honors the top athlete, male or female, based on performance during the previous week of competition.
