Following two more wins for the UMass Lowell men's basketball team this week, redshirt-senior guard/forward Jahad Thomas (Williamsport, Pa.) received America East Co-Player of the Week honors.
Â
This marks Thomas' second straight AE Player of the Week nod and the fifth of his career. He shares the title this week with Joe Cremo of UAlbany. He was also named River Hawk of the Week for his efforts.
Â
The guard/forward averaged a double-double for the second week in a row with 20.5 points and 11.0 rebounds per game to help the River Hawks' pick up two more wins and extend their win streak to five games. He totaled five assists and five steals, and shot 42.9 percent (15-35) from the field, as well as 81.8 percent (9-11) from the foul line.
Â
In the squad's 74-66 win against LIU Brooklyn on November 22, Thomas posted game and season highs for points (24), field goals (9) and steals (3). He also brought down eight rebounds, while going 5-for-6 from the line for an 83.3 percent clip.
