Biography

AS A JUNIOR (2017): Served tri-captain along with Will Puduski and Sean Tyrrell in 2017. Phillips played in 16 games and registered 32 points (24g,8a), which ranked second on the team. His 24 goals led the River Hawks roster and also registered 20 ground balls. Recorded points in 15 of 16 games, including eight multi-point efforts. Totaled a season-high four points (3g,1a) vs. Albany on March 25th. Had at least one goal in 14 games and recorded seven multi-goal games.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2016): Started two of nine appearances … tallied eight goals and four assists for 12 points … led the team with four man-up goals … recorded 17 shots with 12 on goal for a shot on goal percentage of .706 … picked up five groundballs and two caused turnovers … netted a hat trick against UMBC (4.24)

AS A FRESHMAN (2015): Led the team with 28 points (14g, 14a), assists (14), shots (67), shots on goal (39) and was tied for first in goals (14) – Added a career-high six points (4g,2a) in a 13-9 loss to Siena on Feb. 21 – Posted eight multi-point games this season – Registered five points (3g, 2a) in season finale against VMI on Apr. 26

HIGH SCHOOL: Led team to Provincial Div. II Championship his senior year – Named Team MVP – Named to the National All-Star Team at the Canadian National Championships – Member of 2011 BC National Championship team – Named 2012 Rookie of the Year for the Delta Islanders Intermediate A team with 41 goals and 41 assists in 17 games – Also played hockey.
 
PERSONAL: Son of Darcy and Pauline Phillips – Has a younger brother (Bradley) – His hobbies include spending time with friends, working out and enjoying the outdoors – His favorite show is SportsCenter – Lists The Blind Side and Captain Phillips as his favorite movies – Enjoys listening to country music – Names the Vancouver Canucks and Seattle Seahawks as his favorite professional sports teams – Sidney Crosby, Kevin Durant and Russell Wilson are his favorite athletes – Recalls his greatest sports moment to be winning a national championship in 2011 at home in front of his friends and family – Majoring in Business
