Biography

AS A SENIOR (2018): Highfield started in 3 of the 4 games he appeared in. He scored 4 goals throughout his senior year season, with 2 of those goals being scored on February 11 at Quinnipiac. Highfield earned 2 assists and scooped 7 ground balls. He took 8 shots on goal, for a shots on goal percentage of .500.

AS A JUNIOR (2017): Highfield started eight of 15 contests in his junior campaign for the River Hawks. He totaled 12 points (5g,7a) with 29 groundballs and eight caused turnovers. He tallied two goals in the season opener against Boston University on February 11th. He posted four multi-point efforts, which included a season-high three points (1g,2a) at Manhattan on March 11th. 

AS A SOPHOMORE (2016): Made one start in 15 games played … tallied four goals and eight assists for 12 points … recorded 29 shots and 16 shots on goal for a shot on goal percentage of .552.

AS A FRESHMAN (2015): Started all nine games he appeared in...named to America East All-Rookie Team...finished third on the team in points (14), tied for third in goals (10) and second in shots on goal (27)...scored two goals, including the first in UMass Lowell's DI history, in a 19-4 loss to Yale on Feb. 14...notched three goals in an 11-6 loss to Providence on Mar. 10...added a career-high four points (2g,2a) in an 18-10 loss at Vermont...named America East Rookie of the Week on Feb. 16.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played thirteen years for Halton Hills Bulldogs - First overall pick in the 2013 Jr. A entry box lacrosse draft – All-Canada Games three-time All-Star - Co-Captain in 2012. Named to the All-Star team of all midget players in Ontario in 2012 - Selected to play in field and box lacrosse for Team Ontario - Tied for leading scorer for Team Ontario box lacrosse in 2012.
 
PERSONAL: Son of Wendy and Steven Highfield of Georgetown, Ontario - Has two siblings (Lindsey, Tyler) - Enjoys working outside and hanging with friends - White Collar is his favorite television show - Roots for the Toronto Maple Leafs - Gil Nieuwendyk is his favorite sports figure
