Nick Lazor

Lazor enters his second season as Head Equipment Manager for the River Hawks. He was hired by Head Coach Norm Bazin in the summer of 2017. 

He earned the Marc Connelly Award at the annual team banquet in the spring of 2018, which is given annually to a non-player who makes a positive significant impact on the program.

His main responsibilities include the ordering of all equipment, player protection, skate sharpening and equipment repairs.

Prior to UMass Lowell, he spent two years (2015-2017) working for the Bakersfield Condors in the American Hockey League (AHL) as Assistant Equipment Manager. Lazor also worked one year with the Rochester Americans (AHL) as Assistant Equipment Manager in 2014-15. He has been part of two AHL outdoor games, one with each the Condors and the Americans.

Lazor joined the United States Marine Corps in 2008 as an Infantry Assaultman. He was on combat deployment to Marjah, Afghanistan in 2010-2011. Lazor is a decorated combat veteran and was honorably discharged in 2014.

He graduated from SUNY-Brockport with a bachelor's degree in Sport Management and a minor in Coaching.

Lazor, a Brockport, N.Y. native, graduated from Brockport High School in 2007. He played varsity soccer and hockey for four years.
