Kevin Barnaby returns to the UMass Lowell baseball program, as he was named an assistant on Ken Harring's staff for the 2020 season.
Barnaby, who was a volunteer coach under Harring from 2013-15, posted 71 wins over the past four campaigns as the head coach at Fitchburg State to rank second all-time in program history. He was also named the 2019 MASCAC Coach of the Year after setting 10 program records, including single-season victories with 26.

Barnaby's Falcons advanced to the MASCAC Tournament all four seasons, including an appearance in the title game in 2019. Following his first season at the helm in 2016, he was named the league's coach of the year as his squad went 18-20 with a 10-4 mark in conference play.

Prior to his first stint with the River Hawks, Barnaby spent time with the Wachusett Dirt Dogs of the FCBL and served on the Falcons' staff in 2012.

Barnaby graduated from and played two season of college ball for Worcester State ('07), helping lead the Lancers to the MASCAC championship and NCAA Regional berth in his final season. He resides in Leominster, Mass. with his wife, Brittany, and son Cole.
