Biography
AS A SENIOR (2017): Winter started two of nine games he played in. He posted six points and four goals in his senior campaign. Notched two goals at UMBC on April 1st.
AS A JUNIOR (2016): Started eight of 13 games played … had five goals and three assists for eight points … recorded 36 shots including 16 shots on goal with a shot on goal percentage of .444 … had 12 groundballs and one caused turnover ... scored a season-high two goals against Albany (4.2).
AS A SOPHOMORE (2015): Scored eight points (6g, 2a) in 13 games played this season. Tallied his first career goals with hat trick against Stony Brook on April 10. Recorded 26 shots and four ground balls on the season.
AS A FRESHMAN (2014) - Jacksonville: One of five freshmen to travel to every game – Top freshman attackman during 2012-13 season – President’s List for 4.0 semester twice in a row.
HIGH SCHOOL: Led high school in scoring three years in a row – Multi-time All-Conference and All-State performer – Team captain for his senior season – Won state championship with a 20-0 record as a freshman.
PERSONAL: Son of Lea and Jerry Winter – Majoring in Psychology and minoring in philosophy – Becoming the first US team to win the Space Needle Shootout is his favorite sports moment – First player to play Division I Lacrosse from his high school – The Detroit Lions are his favorite sports team – Lists Trailer Park Boys and American Ninja Warrior as his favorite TV shows – Monty Python and the Holy Grail is his favorite movie – His favorite hobbies include playing video games, fishing and coaching lacrosse – Black Sabbath, Anvil and Pantera are his favorite musical groups – Has a pet tarantula named Steve.
