LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell women's soccer team (5-7-4, 2-3-3 AE) celebrated Senior Day on Sunday, dropping a 5-0 match to Bryant (6-6-4, 4-2-2 AE) to conclude the season. The River Hawks set a season high with 19 shots and 10 corners in the contest.

UMass Lowell honored five seniors before the match: Diana Jedrychowski (Farmington, Conn.), Luka Marceau (Newton, Mass.), Eliana Parreira (Chelmsford, Mass.), Marissa Sage (Milford, N.H.) and Franzisca Sinclair (Frankfurt, Germany). Each player in the senior class has been a River Hawk for their entire collegiate career and was part of UMass Lowell's run to the 2023 America East Championship game.

During the match, freshman Märta Sundberg (Stockholm, Sweden) brought her minutes played on the season to 1,213. It's the most minutes played by a River Hawk freshman since Dunja Mostarac tallied 1,634 in 2018.

Marceau tied for the team lead with three shots on the afternoon, as freshman Ines Pietikainen (Espoo, Finland) and junior Mia Eva Girgis (Montreal, Quebec) also recorded three shots.

UMass Lowell controlled possession in the first five minutes, logging a shot and earning a corner within the first two minutes. Sophomore Emma Theorén (Sollentuna, Sweden) fired off two shots early, forcing the Bulldogs to make a save. Marceau tacked on a shot on goal.

At around 12 minutes, Bryant found the back of the net after its fourth consecutive corner. Morgan Nelson put the Bulldogs up 1-0 early. Bryant added two more goals in the next 10 minutes, as Samantha Zaslaw and Grayson Edwards put Bryant up 3-0.

The Bulldogs added a fourth goal before halftime in the 40th minute. Ava Feeley scored a header off a cross into the box. Coming out of half, Whitney Vaillant for Bryant to make it 5-0.

UMass Lowell rattled off double-digit shots in the second half but couldn't score. The season ends with the River Hawks just outside the bubble for the America East tournament.
