LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell Men's Lacrosse team fell to Providence College, 14-4 on Tuesday night in non-conference play at Cushing Field Complex.
UMass Lowell falls to 3-5 overall, while Providence improves to 4-4 overall on the season.

Ed Stephenson. "In the first half, we struggled a little bit, we had some real nice looks, we opened with three high percentage opportunities and I don't think we shot the ball great today. Our face-off was outstanding again, freshman

Sophomore attackman
Jake Lining (Rochester, Mich.) scored his 11
th goal of the year with the man advantage to make it a 13-4 game in favor of Providence just two minutes into the fourth quarter to cap off the scoring for UMass Lowell.
Harry Horrill (Hyde Park, Mass.) and Will Russo (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) added their 15
th and eighth goals, respectively, for the River Hawks in the third stanza.
The River Hawks trailed PC at halftime, 10-1.
The Friars scored the first three goals of the game, but senior midfielder
Cory Highfield (Georgetown, Ont.) got the River Hawks on the board for this team-leading 14
th goal of the season with five minutes to go in the opening quarter.
Freshman face-off midfielder
Liam McDonough (Groton, Mass.) won 14-of-21 face-offs and amassed nine ground balls for the River Hawks in the losing effort. Dan Cozzi (Reading, Mass.) finished the night with three assists, while Russo registered eight shots.
Senior goalie
Grant Lardieri (Ada, Mich.) stopped five shots in the first half in the start, while freshman
Matt Murakami (Long Grove, Ill.) played the second half in relief, posting four saves. PC's Tate Boyce registered seven saves in his fourth victory of the season.
The River Hawks return to action on the road on Saturday, March 23
