LOWELL, MASS. – Hockey season is fast approaching and single game tickets for 2018-2019 UMass Lowell River Hawks Hockey are now on sale. Tickets can be purchased through multiple channels, including the Tsongas Center Box Office, www.TsongasCenter.com and by phone at 866-722-8780.

In addition, deep savings are available through group tickets, as low as $7 per ticket with minimums starting at 10 tickets, or through Season Ticket Memberships, which can save as much as 40% off Box Office prices. The upcoming season features a number of exciting promotions, including traditional favorites and new additions, plus giveaways geared towards providing the ultimate fan experience for fans of all ages. BUY TICKETS

The season kicks off with a celebration for every generation with River Hawk Homecoming weekend, October 12-13, vs. RIT with a student t-shirt giveaway Friday night and the Hawkey Way festivities on Saturday. 

The Hockey East schedule kicks-off at the Tsongas with a visit from Northeastern Friday, October 26, and also includes an extra visit from both UNH and Boston College as part of the unbalanced schedule this season. Joining RIT on the non-conference schedule are match-ups with RPI on Black Friday and perennial power, Denver, December 29. 

A number of giveaways are already scheduled for the season, with more in the works. Highlighting the giveaway schedule is DCU Alumni Shirsey T-Shirt Series Giveaway. Replica Jersey T-Shirts of Carter Hutton, Connor Hellebuyck, Dwyane Roloson and a to-be-determined alum on the schedule October 26, November 17, February 9 and February 22. 

In addition, rather than one dedicated Star Wars Night, the schedule will feature a dedicated Star Wars Weekend when the River Hawks host the evil empire from Vermont, January 18-19. The weekend begins with a Rowdy Jedi Bobble Head giveaway for the first 1,000 fans, presented by XFinity, Friday night. Saturday's finale will welcome the 501st Rebel Legion Star Wars characters for photos, autographs and more, with more weekend activities to be added.  BUY TICKETS

Fans will want to mark their calendars as well for the annual post-game skate with the River Hawks players following the exhibition game against Acadia, Sunday, October 7, open to all fans will tickets to the game (complimentary skate rentals available on a first-come, first-serve basis). In addition, a second post-game skate is on the schedule for Friday, November 23, with a chance to hit the ice with Rowdy the River Hawk and Santa Claus himself.

Also on the calendar are the annual Military Appreciation (November 9), Pucks and Paws (November 23) and Princess Party Night (October 26), with more special guests, theme nights and giveaways to be added in the coming weeks. 

"Each season gives us a chance to unveil something new, while at the same time bringing back favorites and traditions," said Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Promotions Jon Boswell. "From the on-the-ice product to the promotions and in-arena content, we are excited to get this season underway with the best fans in the Hockey East."

The season will feature a continuation of the 20th anniversary season of the Tsongas Center, with special highlights celebrated throughout the season's first half, as well as the 35th anniversary season of the Hockey East, commemorated with an in-ice logo. In addition, the River Hawks are set to unveil a refreshed jersey look on both the home and away jerseys, with a new alternate jersey also set to be debuted during the season.
