ALBANY, N.Y. – The UMass Lowell men's soccer team (4-4-1, 0-1-0) fell to the UAlbany Great Danes (7-2-0, 1-0-0), 1-0, in the America East opener for both squads' on Saturday night.

The lone goal in the contest came in the 36th minute on a tally from the Great Danes' Daniel Krutzen, as he put home the rebound from a diving save by Austin Kroll (Baltimored, Md.).

The River Hawks outshot the hosts, 4-3, in the opening frame but Jakov Basic's (Zagreb, Croatia) long range blast in the 44th minute was the only attempt on target for the visitors.
