Lowell, Mass. – The UMass Lowell men's lacrosse team heads back into conference play as they prepare to take on No. 9/10 UAlbany Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m.
River Hawk RecapDespite their largest scoring output of the season, the River Hawks were upended at home by the Vermont Catamounts last Saturday 18-10.
Sean Tyrrell (Calgary, Alberta) led the way with three goals for UMass Lowell while
Cory Highfield (Toronto, Ontario) registered two goals and two assists. Sophomore goalie
Alex Desmarais (Atkinson, N.H.) came off the bench to record a season-high 18 saves.
Can You Take Me Higher?Cory Highfield continued his strong freshman campaign last Saturday with two goals and two assists. He ranks second on the River Hawks in goals (10) and is tied for second in points (14)

Forcing MistakesUMass Lowell has excelled this season at causing turnovers. The River Hawks are tied for second in America East averaging 8.0 caused turnovers per game. Defenseman
Bain Schroeder (Ellicott City, Md.) leads the team with 13 caused turnovers.
Scouting UAlbanyUAlbany enters Saturday's contest with a record of 6-1 and 2-0 in America East play. The Great Danes are currently riding a five-game winning streak after a midweek victory at Harvard, 21-18. Senior Lyle Thompson paces the team with 51 points (21g,30a) while Connor Fields' 23 goals are best on the squad. Junior goalie Blaze Riordan has recorded 82 saves on the season and a .553 save percentage, tops in the conference.
