STONY BROOK, N.Y. -- The UMass Lowell Volleyball team fell in straight sets at Stony Brook in America East play on Friday night at Pritchard Gymnasium. The set scores were 12-25, 18-25 and 14-25.
With the loss the River Hawks fall to 4-20 overall and 1-6 in America East matches, while the Seawolves improve to 11-15 overall (5-3 AE).

Haley Shimon (Des Moines, Iowa) and junior right side hitter
Elima Ahzi (Chula Vista, Calif.) each totaled a team-high seven kills in the losing efforts for the River Hawks. Ahzi posted a team-best .583 hitting percentage, while freshman setter
Delaney Mendez (Phoenix, Ariz.) amassed 14 assists running the River Hawks' offense and junior
Alexa Toth (Portland, Ore.) finished the night with nine helpers.

Lindsey Visvardis (Homer Glen, Ill.) turned in another solid defensive performance with 10 digs on the evening.
The River Hawks registered 10 kills and hit for a match-high .308 hitting percentage in the second set.
UMass Lowell returns to action on Sunday, November 1st for its final match of the weekend at UMBC (1pm). The River Hawks next home match is Friday, November 6th against New Hampshire at Costello Athletic Center (7pm).
