Biography
AS A SOPHOMORE (2016): Mendez started 20 of 27 matches she played in and appeared in 89 total sets. She totaled a team-best 602 assists to go along with 117 digs. She notched 40+ assists in five matches, including a career-high 51 assists on September 24th at Hartford. Her 6.76 assists per set ranked seventh among America East setters.
AS A FRESHMAN (2015): Mendez appeared in 94 sets and 28 matches in her freshman year, leading the team with 441 assists. She also totaled 30 kills, 58 digs, 18 total blocks and nine service aces. Had a career-high 30 assists on October 25th vs. Quinnipiac. Notched 20+ assists in 11 matches.
HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year varsity member at Pinnacle High School … as a sophomore she was an Impact Player Selection to the 2013 Arizona Volleyball Team, and named to the Arizona High Performance Team … helped her club team to a 10th place finish in the Junior Nationals in Minnesota in 2014 … National Honor Society member … member of the Society of Women Scholars.
