Yale Sprig Invitational Results NEW HAVEN, Conn.– Junior
Kevin Fay (Lawrence, Mass.) shot a 16 over-par 76-80—156 to lead UMass Lowell to a ninth place finish at the Yale Spring Invitational Saturday at Yale University Golf Club in New Haven, Conn.
UMass Lowell compiled a score of 642 (+82), shooting rounds of 319 (+38) and 323 (+43). Harvard won the team title with a score of 281-292—573 (+13). The tournament drew 10 colleges and 67 participants.
Fay's team best of 156 put him in a tie for 35
th on the weekend. Junior
Harry Hulme (Manchester, England) tied for 43
rd, 78-81—159 (+19), while freshman
Jonathan Burgin (Hampshire, England) finished three strokes (82-80—162) back in a tie for 50
th.
Rohan Ramnath of Harvard won medalist honors with 75-64-139 (-1), edging out teammate Theodore Lederhausen who shot consecutive rounds of 71 to finish two over par.
