DI Individual Results - DI Team Results - Cumulative Season ResultsBREWSTER, Mass. – After playing the final round of the NEIGA Championship at the Captain's Golf Club on Monday, the River Hawks finished in second place of the Division I group.
UMass Lowell ended the tournament in the runner-up spot with a team score of 607. Fairfield University won the team portion of the tournament with a score of 601. Also finishing in the top five were Rhode Island at 608, with Central Connecticut and Holy Cross finishing in a tie for fourth at 612.
Senior
Harry Hulme (Manchester, England) finished second overall in the tournament with a score of 147, just one stroke behind the individual champion. Two more River Hawks also finished in the top ten. Senior
Kevin Fay (Lawrence, Mass.) finished eighth overall with a score of 151, while freshman
Kevin Scott (Tyngsborough, Mass.) finished in a tie for ninth at 152. Junior
Nick Gordon (Export, Pa.) completed the tournament with a strong second round to give him a score of 157, and sophomore
Jonathan Burgin (Hampshire, England) closed out the day at 161.
Both Scott and Gordon registered season-best single round scores in the tournament. Scott shot a 72 in the second round, while Gordon posted his personal best of 76 in round two as well. Scott's score of 72 is also the best individual single round score any River Hawk has registered in the 2014-15 season.
Hulme tied his season-best single round score of 73 in the first round of the tournament. He first registered a 73 in the first round of the Binghamton Fall Golf Invitational on Oct. 5. His performance earned him a spot on NEIGA All-New England Division I team.
