Complete Santa Clara Release
An assistant coach with UMass Lowell baseball for the past two seasons, Keith Beauregard was named an assistant baseball coach at Santa Clara University on Tuesday afternoon.
In his new role with Santa Clara, Beauregard will act as the hitting coach and will assist with recruiting.
“Keith Beauregard will be missed,” said
head coach Ken Harring. “He has a knowledge, passion and energy for the game of baseball that you can't teach. His goal of becoming a full time coach came true and it is well deserved.”
During his time with the River Hawks, Beauregard helped lead the team to a 63-34-1 record (.648) that included a trip to the 2011 NCAA East Regional in Rindge, NH.
Beauregard served as UMass Lowell's hitting and third base coach. A talented instructor, he helped raise the team batting average 38 points from .261 in 2010 to .299 in 2012.
