America East Full Release

BOSTON, Mass. – UMass Lowell placed 175 student-athletes on the 2014-15 America East Winter/Spring Honor Roll, as announced by the league office on Thursday. This marks the highest number of honor roll recipients for any of the conference's nine member institutions.
 
Additionally, the River Hawks led the league with 90 representatives on the Commissioner's Honor Roll. Student-athletes must achieve a semester grade-point average (GPA) of 3.00 or higher to be eligible for the America East Honor Roll, or at least a 3.50 GPA to be named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll.
 
Based on percentage, softball led all River Hawk teams with 87.5% (21-of-24) of its roster earning honor roll recognition. Lacrosse was the most decorated men's team with 74.2% (23-of-31) being honored.  
 
In total, 1,331 (63%) of America East student-athletes who competed in winter or spring sports during the 2014-15 academic year earned honor roll distinction.
