Biography
CAREER: Saw action in 58 games during his career, including 33 starts…Picked up 53 points off of 33 goals and 20 assists…Tallied two game-winners during his time at UMass Lowell…Registered eight extra-man goals and one man-down goal…Picked up 73 loose balls and caused 17 turnovers…Named a Captain for the 2021 and 2022 squads.
AS A GRADUATE STUDENT (2022): Started in all but one of the River Hawks 13 games…Net career highs in all three scoring columns with collegiate highs in goals (12), assists (10) and points (22)…Collected nine ground balls and forced two turnovers…Put up a single-season high three points twice (2/12 v. Quinnipiac (2G, 1A); 3/12 v. Sacred Heart (2G, 1A))…Had a single-season best two ground ball pickups against Sacred Heart (3/12)…Scored a collegiate-high three man-up goals…Finished fourth on the team in points with 22.
AS A SENIOR (2021): Appeared in all nine games for the River Hawks, including eight starts…Tied for second on the team in man-up goals with two…Finished the season with seven goals, good for sixth overall on the team…Scored a season-best two goals against Hartford (313) and UMBC (4/17).
AS A JUNIOR (2020):
**Season shortened due to COVID-19** Started in all seven games … tied for first on the team with 10 goals on the season … dished out six assists to be ranked third on the squad … totaled 16 points on the season to be ranked second … recorded the game-winning goal in the season-opener against Quinnipiac (2/8) … saw 47 shots with 21 on goal for a .447 shot on goal percentage … collected 10 ground balls and three caused turnovers.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2019): He played in 13 games and started five of them for the River Hawks ... posted two goals and three points with 17 ground balls.
AS A FRESHMAN (2018): LaForge played in 16 games during his freshman campaign, posting two goals and three assists ... earned two shots on goal, scoring on both of those shots, for a shots on goal average of .500 ... LaForge scooped 31 ground balls, with a season-high and career-high of five ground balls in one game on Feb. 11 at Quinnipiac.
High School: Three-sport athlete at Tyngsboro High School (football, basketball and lacrosse) … finished high school career ranked No. 12 in Massachusetts in goals scored (223), No. 2 in assists (215), and No. 6 in points (438) and finished with 834 ground balls … led all of central Massachusetts in assists and all of Mid-Wach in goals (58g, 66a) … named league All-Star in senior, junior, sophomore and freshman seasons … named captain and team MVP in senior campaign … Three-Time Lowell Sun All-Star … 2017 Lowell Sun Player of the Year … broke school's single-season scoring record with 131 points (72g, 59a) in junior campaign … named league MVP in sophomore campaign … named to honor roll in senior year.
