Girardi enters his first season on the River Hawk Hockey staff.

His responsibilities include opponent video breakdown, Hockey East video exchange, live game logging and various administrative assignments.

Prior to UMass Lowell, he worked for the NHL's Nashville Predators as a hockey operations intern during the 2017-18 season. Girardi worked extensively with the day-to-day analytics for the team, as well as researching player movement and transactions. He also assisted with contract comparables for potential arbitration cases. Girardi also assisted with recruiting amateur free agents to the Predators.

He also worked with the Washington Capitals during the 2016-17 season as a community relations and local hockey intern and also worked with the Colorado Avalanche and Denver Nuggets in 2013.

Girardi served as a fan development intern for the Los Angeles Kings during their first Stanley Cup season in 2011-12 season.

He graduated from the University of Denver with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and Marketing in 2011. While at Denver, he was a member of the Club Baseball team and was named NCBA Player of the Week in District 7 North in his senior season in 2011.

Girardi also earned his Master's of Professional Studies in Sports Industry Management from Georgetown University in the spring of 2017.

He currently resides in Lowell, Mass.
