Ketbache, Musielak Garner America East Postseason Honors

BOSTON – Following the conclusion of the 2025 regular season, the UMass Lowell men's soccer team had two River Hawks tabbed with All-Conference honors, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.
After a successful first year, redshirt freshman Aamir Ketbache (Frankfurt am Main, Germany) was named to the America East All-Rookie team, while in his first year as a River Hawk, junior Linus Musielak (Dortmund, Germany) was tabbed to the conference's All-Academic Team.
"I'm really proud of Aamir and Linus for being recognized for all the hard work they have put in during the season," said Head Coach Kyle Zenoni. "It is always really nice when we get individuals honored."
Ketbache made his name known early, making his first appearance on the road at Houston Christian, before earning his first start three days later at UIW. A pivotal piece of the UMass Lowell defense, the German native started in all but one of the team's conference games, including playing all 90 minutes at then #2 Vermont, helping the team post a shutout to earn America East Defensive Player of the Week honors. He continued to find success throughout the remainder of the regular season, playing the entirety of the team's regular-season home finale against New Hampshire. Â
Meanwhile, Musielak was named to the All-Academic Team, as he owns a 3.950 GPA while pursuing his bachelor's in quantitative economics and a minor in marketing, and was named to the President's Honor Roll four times before transferring to UMass Lowell. On the pitch, the junior started his career strong, scoring the game-winning goal in the season opener against Saint Peter's. He didn't stop there, though, scoring against Massachusetts before adding an assist against CCSU for five total points, ranking second on the team in the regular season.
Ketbache, Musielak, and the No. 6 River Hawks are back in action this Wednesday, November 12, when they take on the No. 2 Bryant Bulldogs with a spot in the America East Championship on the line. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Beirne Stadium in Smithfield, Rhode Island.
