LOWELL, Mass. -- With the 2019-2020 UMass Lowell Hockey season fast approaching, the River Hawks announced official game times for their home slate, highlighted by the move to 6 p.m. puck drops for Saturday home dates.
 
The move to 6 p.m. on Saturday is meant to create a more fan friendly start time and comes after months of surveying season seat members, previous ticket buyers and the student population.
 
In addition to the shift on Saturday's, "non-traditional" start times include a 4:05 p.m. start Sunday, October 6 when the River Hawks host Alabama-Huntsville to close out opening weekend, and a 4:05 p.m. start on Friday, November 29, as the River Hawks kick-off the Turkey Leg Classic with a Black Friday match-up against RPI.
 
Lastly, the River Hawks exhibition game set for December 29 against a group of Canadian All-Stars will start at 5:05 p.m.
 
While the full River Hawks promotional schedule is still under construction, fans can already mark their calendars for a few marquee promotions, beginning with Homecoming Weekend and the celebration of 125 Years of UMass Lowell, October 18-19 when Colgate comes to campus.
 
In addition, the first bobble head of the season is slated for Saturday, November 16 against UConn when the first 1,000 fans will receive a Rowdy the River Hawk Manning School of Business Bobble Head, courtesy of DCU. You'll also want to highlight January 25 against Boston University as we celebrate Educator Appreciation Night with the annual Star Wars Night, featuring members of the 501^st Legion throughout the arena.
 
A full promotional schedule will be announced at the end of the month to coincide with the release of individual game tickets available for purchase Wednesday, September 4.
