LOWELL, Mass. -- Six former River Hawks, including four graduating seniors on the UMass Lowell Hockey team have signed professional contracts, including most recently signed defenseman Avni Berisha (Lake Ariel, Pa.) and co-captain forward Connor Wilson (Calgary, Alta.) with the Mulhouse Scorpions of the French Synerglace Ligue Magnus.

Berisha and Wilson will play for former River Hawk forward and two-time captain Yorick Treille (Class of 2002), as Head Coach of the Scorpions.

Dmowski totaled a career-high 23 points and 14 goals in 37 contests in his senior season. His six game-winning goals were tied for second in the nation. He finished his River Hawk career with 67 points (37g,30a) in 132 games. Junior co-captain Ryan Lohin (Chadds Ford, Pa.) and junior alternate captain Mattias Goransson (Slottsbron, Sweden) chose to forego their final season in Lowell to sign with the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning and Leksands IF in the Swedish Hockey League, respectively.
