CATONSVILLE, Md. -- Junior attackman Isaac Bot (Calgary, Alta.) scored a career-high six goals, including the overtime winner to lead the UMass Lowell Men's Lacrosse team to a 13-12 America East road victory at UMBC on Saturday afternoon at UMBC Stadium.

UMass Lowell improves to 5-8 overall (2-3 AE), while the Retrievers fall to 3-8 overall (1-4 AE). With the victory, the River Hawks kept their America East playoff hopes alive with one regular-season game left to play.

"I was really pleased with our composure in this back and forth game," said UMass Lowell Head Coach Ed Stephenson. "Our inside play with Bot and Rhatigan was really strong combining for nine goals and one assist. Liam McDonough was huge at the face off x today."

Bot scored with 57 seconds left in the extra frame to pick the victory for the River Hawks, while Dylan Rhatigan (Holbrook, N.Y.) added another three goals and has tallied seven goals in his last two contests for UMass Lowell. Bot finished the game with a game-high 11 shots and eight shots on goal.

Senior Cory Highfield (Georgetown, Ont.) and junior Dan Cozzi (Reading, Mass.) each amassed three assists on the day in the road victory.

Freshman face-off midfielder Liam McDonough (Groton, Mass.) won 21-of-28 face-offs (75%) for the River Hawks, to go along with 14 ground balls.

The game was tied at halftime, 5-5. In total, the game featured nine ties and five lead changes.

Senior goalie Grant Lardieri (Ada, Mich.) totaled 12 saves in his 11th start of the season for UMass Lowell. UMBC's Tommy Lingner recorded six saves in losing effort for the Retrievers.

UMBC's Ryan Frawley totaled a team-high seven points and six goals in the loss.

UMass Lowell concludes its regular-season schedule with Senior Night on Friday, April 26th against Binghamton. Game time from Cushing Field Complex is 7:30 p.m. The team will honor its 10-member senior class in a pre-game ceremony on the field.
