LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell women's lacrosse team wraps up its three-game homestand, hosting the Bryant Bulldogs on Wednesday, March 29 at 3 p.m. The River Hawks will then travel to UMBC on April 1, kicking off America East play with a 12 p.m. Saturday matinee.

River Hawk Rewind
UMass Lowell who is 5-2, is currently riding a five-game win streak after notching a pair of wins last week. With a 9-5 victory against Quinnipiac on March 22, the River Hawks picked up their fourth straight win, before tripping up LIU Brooklyn, 12-8, on March 25 to extend their win streak to five. Offensively, the River Hawks were led by attackers
Taylor Sokol (Hopkinton, Mass.) and
Jane Dudley (Duxbury, Mass.). The duo combined for 12 points in two games, including a pair of hat tricks by Sokol, while Dudley recorded five assists and one goals for six points, as well. Defensively,
Megan Albertsen (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) led the charge from the backline, as the sophomore picked up five ground balls and a career-high three draw controls, while causing three turnovers on the week.

Leading The Flock
Through seven games so far this season, attackers
Rebecca Idson (East Atlantic Beach, N.Y.) and
Jane Dudley are pacing the team with 18 points a piece. Idson is pacing all River Hawks with 17 goals, while Dudley's 10 tallies and eight helpers rank second on the squad. Midfielder
Kendyl Finelli (Southborough, Mass.) is dishing out a team-best nine assists on the year, while classmate
Kristina Keith (East Kingston, N.H.) is first among all River Hawks with 15 caused turnovers and nine draw controls. Between the pipes,
Courtney Barrett (South Burlington, Vt. has racked up 53 saves, while boasting a .491 save percentage and a 7.93 goals against average, while picking up a team-best 18 ground balls.

Scouting Bryant
The Bulldogs are off to a 4-3 start after winning their lone decision last week, a 17-5 victory against Siena on March 22. Through seven games so far this season, Caitlin Breglia and Jess DeMeo are posting team highs in points (17), goals (12) and assists (5). Bryant is producing 12 different point scorers, 11 of whom have found the back of the net at least once thus far. Goalkeeper Samantha Santeramo has turned away 54 shots, while posting a .571 save percentage and an 8.23 goals against average.

Scouting UMBC
The Retrievers enter Saturday's tilt at 6-4 overall following a close 19-12 defeat at UAlbany in America East action on March 25. Sam Nolan is posting team highs in points and goals with 39 and 28, respectively. Goalkeeper Ashley Peacock owns the majority of decisions in the cage thus far, posting 51 saves, a .381 save percentage and a 11.81 goals against average. Additionally, Peacock leads all Retrievers with 19 ground balls.

Series History
Wednesday's contest marks the third meeting between the River Hawks and the Bulldogs, as Bryant leads the all-time series, 2-0. Saturday's tilt will mark the third meeting as well between the two conference foes, as UMass Lowell looks to grab its first series win.

On March 8,
Rebecca Idson rattled off six goals for six points to achieved two program records against Army West Point. The 13-6 win at Army West Point registers the program's first road win and biggest margin of victory since its inaugural season in 2015.

Going Streaking!
The River Hawks are currently in the midst of their longest win streak in program history at five games beginning against Iona on March 4. Following the victory, UMass Lowell went on to notch wins against Army, Sacred Heart, Quinnipiac and LIU Brooklyn, marking the program's best start.

UMass Lowell's defense is among the nations best, as the backline is boasting 13.71 caused turnovers per game to rank second among the NCAA. The team's defense is allowing just 8.00 goals per game to sit tied for eighth best. The River Hawks currently first in the America East in caused turnovers per game and second in goals against average.
