All-Conference Honors
Following the conclusion of the season, five River Hawks earned all-conference honors. Lydon was named to the America East All-Conference Second Team, Pompei and Brezynskie were selected to the All-Rookie Team, while juniors Claire Fader (Downingtown, Pa.) and Bronwyn Hilbert (Lancaster, Pa.) were both named to the All-Academic Team.
In her final season, Lydon was dominant on both ends of the field, finishing the season with a team-leading 26 goals alongside 13 assists for 39 points, while adding 15 ground balls, eight caused turnovers, and 35 draw controls. Although she posted ten multi-point games, her best performance of the season came against New Hampshire when she scored four straight second-half goals, propelling the team to an important conference win.
In her first season on the field, Pompei proved to be a key piece of the UMass Lowell offense, scoring 19 goals, the fifth most on the team, including the overtime game-winner against UMBC. Brezynskie, meanwhile, wasted no time making her name known, scoring a hat trick in the season opener to earn her America East Rookie of the Week honors. She didn't slow down there, though, finishing her freshman campaign with 14 goals, nine assists, 16 ground balls, nine caused turnovers, and 27 draw controls, including a career-best five points against New Hampshire to earn her second Rookie of the Week honor.
Fader, who was named to the All-Academic Team for the first time in her career, owns a 3.96 GPA as a mechanical engineering major. On the field, the junior helped anchor the River Hawks' defense this season, starting in 15 of the team's 16 games while adding 14 ground balls and ranking fourth on the team with 11 caused turnovers. Rounding out the honorees, Hilbert holds a 3.96 GPA as an electrical engineering major, earning her spot on the All-Academic Team. This season, the junior broke out on the field, ranking second on the team with 40 points and smashing her previous career high of 9 points during her freshman campaign. Not only an offensive threat, she also added 15 ground balls collected and eight caused turnovers.
