SCOUTING THE RIVER HAWKS: UMass Lowell enters its final home match of the season at Costello Athletic Center on Sunday with a 6-19 overall mark and a 1-9 record in America East play. The River Hawks are coming off a 3-0 loss at New Hampshire on Friday night at Lundholm Gymnasium. Lade Adeniyi (Springfield, Ill.) and Madi Bell (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) both notched nine kills apiece in the losing effort. 

Bell and Haley Shimon (Des Moines, Iowa) both lead the team with 217 kills on the season. Sophomore setter Delaney Mendez (Phoenix, Ariz.) has been the primary setter for the River Hawks with a team-high 556 assists. Sophomore libero Lindsey Visvardis' (Homer Glen, Ill.) 384 digs leads the team and Lauren Bennett's (Wilmington, Mass.) 94 total blocks are a team-best.

SCOUTING THE PIONEERS: Sacred Heart enters Sunday's match with a 18-7 record and an 11-1 mark in NEC play. The Pioneers have won six straight matches coming into the match and own a 8-2 road record this season. Sacred Heart is coming off a 3-0 win against Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday night. Sarah Krufka had a team-high 15 kills in Saturday's win, she leads the team with 332 kills on the season. 

HONORING THE SENIORS: The River Hawks will honor its four-member Senior Class in a pre-game ceremony on Sunday, including: middle blocker Elima Ahzi (Chula Vista, Calif.), middle blocker Lauren Bennett (Wlimington, Mass.) and setter Alexa Toth (Portland, Ore.) and outside hitter and co-captain Megan Young. 

Ahzi has notched 350 kills, 169 total blocks, 89 digs and 33 service aces in her time in Lowell. She posted a career-best 136 kills in her junior year and currently ranks first in league games with 0.48 service aces per set. 11 of her 12 aces this season have come in America East play.

Bennett has totaled 351 kills and 256 total blocks as a member of the River Hawks. She ranks first on the team this year with a career-high 94 total blocks and her 115 kills ranks fourth on the team. She needs just six blocks to become the ninth player in team history with a 100-block season. Bennett ranks second in America East matches with 1.30 blocks per set. She was an America East All-Academic selection in 2015. 

Toth, who transferred to UMass Lowell in 2015, has spent the last two years with the River Hawks and has amassed 636 assists, which included 436 helpers in her junior season.
 
Young has notched 94 career kills, 129 career digs to go along with 27 service aces. She has served as co-captain in each of the last two seasons and is one of two representatives on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
