SCOUTING THE RIVER HAWKS: UMass Lowell comes into the Saturday night America East road match with a 5-16 overall record and are looking for its first win in conference play (0-6 AE). The River Hawks suffered two losses at Costello Athletic Center last weekend to Stony Brook (3-0) on Friday and UMBC (3-0) on Sunday.
The River Hawks rank third in America East as a team with 1.87 blocks per game and their 1.38 service aces per set is fourth best in the league.
After the Hartford match, the River Hawks will have three home matches and three away matches to close out the season. UMass Lowell will host its final home match on Sunday, November 6th against Sacred Heart on Senior Day. The team will honor its four-member senior class, which includes middle blocker

SCOUTING THE HAWKS: Hartford owns a 5-14 record this season with a 2-4 mark in America East play. The Hawks are 1-4 in their last five matches, which includes a 3-1 victory in their most recent match against Stony Brook last Saturday in West Hartford, Conn. Hartford owns a 3-4 home road in seven matches this season. Paulina Modestow leads the Hawks with 231 kills this season. Modestow recorded a team-high 14 kills in the win against Stony Brook last weekend.
LAST TIME OUT: The River Hawks fell to UMBC, 3-0, last Sunday afternoon at Costello Athletic Center in America East action. The set scores were 25-9, 25-22 and 25-22. Four different River Hawks notched four kills in the losing effort.
Lindsey Visvardis (Homer Glen, Ill.) totaled a team-high 13 digs in another strong defensive effort.
ALL-TIME SERIES VS. HARTFORD: The River Hawks own a 1-6 all-time mark against the Hawks. Hartford won the first meeting of the season series back on September 24th at Costello Athletic Center by a 3-2 score. UMass Lowell split the season series last year, which included a 3-2 in on Oct. 9th in West Hartford, Conn.
Haley Shimon (Des Moines, Iowa) notched a match-high 18 kills in the River Hawks' victory.
AMERICA EAST LEADERS: Freshman
Katherine Claybaugh (Danville, Calif.) ranks sixth among America East hitters with 3.04 kills per set, while
Lauren Bennett is tied for third with 1.00 blocks per set. Visvardis' 3.96 digs per set is fourth best among conference libero's.
