Lowell, Mass. – The UMass Lowell men's lacrosse team plays their final home game of the season Friday night against No. 14/18 Stony Brook at 6:30 p.m.

River Hawk Recap
The River Hawks were on the wrong end of a 14-6 score last Saturday at home against Binghamton. Zack Schwartz (Huntington, N.Y.) registered a career-high three points (2g, 1a) while sophomore Sam Klingsporn (Aloha, Ore.) tallied two goals for UMass Lowell. The River Hawks finished the game strong scoring three of their six goals in the fourth quarter.

One Last Hurrah
The River Hawks play their last of seven home games on Friday against the Seawolves. UMass Lowell is still looking for their first home victory as well as their first conference victory in America East.

Oh, Canada
Much of the River Hawks offensive production this season has come from players of Canadian descent. The team's three leading scorers, Jon Phillips (Delta, B.C.), Sean Tyrrell (Calgary, Alberta) and Cory Highfield all hail from Canada.

Two for the Price of One
Sophomores Giles Ober (Southborough, Mass.) and Alex Desmarais (Atkinson, N.H.) have both seen time as goalkeeper over the last two weeks. Ober leads the team with 88 saves while Desmarais in 43 minutes has recorded 39 of his own.

Scouting Stony Brook
The Seawolves enter this week ranked No. 14 in the country according to Inside Lacrosse and No. 18 in the USILA Coaches' poll. Stony Brook has a 9-2 record with a 2-1 mark in America East play. Their leading scorer is Mike Rooney with 66 points (28g, 38 a) while Brody Eastwood paces the team with 40 goals on the season. Goalkeeper Brandon Maciejewski has started five games in cage for the Seawolves and has stopped 49 shots.

Head Coach Ed Stephenson on Stony Brook
"Stony Brook provides another great opportunity to play not only one of the best teams in our conference, but one of the best teams in the country. We expect a great atmosphere for our program's first night game and we hope to finish the home schedule in style."
